Bolin doodles for psychelator! Sorry they aren’t better… I think I’ve been a little art-impaired lately.
Bolin is pretty much my fave so far. What a lil’ pimp. Bonus drunk!Bolin in right corner. Also sorry for the worst Pabu ever. Drawn on the edge of the page with no reference. x x
Haven’t seen episode seven yet, because I don’t have cable. Goddamn. Anyway, I’m just hoping Bolin doesn’t die or anything, because bad things usually happen to the characters I like.
awwwwh yes! You got his personality down! These are the best.
Answer:
I am drawing that short comic I was going on about a while ago, slow progress because I probably decided to bite off more than I could chew, but once the scenery shots are out of the way, the rest should go quicker (I hope!). A boy meets a girl in a library! More than that, I won’t say coz a) I’m not so good at explaining things and b) the rest would be spoiling too much! (but don’t expect too much, either!)
I’m using Manga Studio, which is super super awesome except for the fact that Debut version doesn’t have that handy dandy eye-dropper tool :D Tablet is super fantastic! Love it so much!
Well, I had the most beautiful weekend in Como… I’m still on a high, also due to the fact that I was able to go…
I’ll put more photos up on Facebook soon, but these are some of my faves.
So on Saturday morning, I took the train from Montebello at 6:35, stopped over in Verona, then Milan, then arrived at Como at 10 am. I was really nervous to take the train by myself, I heard from a lot of people that the trains here aren’t very well organized… but I was lucky, and the ride went pretty smoothly.
Martina was waiting for me at the train station, as lovely as I remember her, with her mother, and at 11.30, after showing me around their house, and taking a quick break, Martina took me on a bus ride to Bellagio. Ok, so the city of Como is at the end of the left ‘leg’ of Lake Como, and Bellagio is at the very point of where the two ‘legs’ intersect. It took about an hour to travel along the lake, and there was a stunning view, and at Bellagio we had a nice picnic before going for a walk. We also visited the Villa Melzi gardens. Martina was very patient with me as I played the over-excited little tourist.
Then, at around 5ish, we took the boat all the way back to Como. It was packed full of tourists.
After dinner, we went out for some drinks with Martina’s friends who were all super nice and it was a great evening, but at the end I was so sleepy from the full on day (the beer helped too) that I was struggling to keep my eyes open.
On Sunday, it was cloudy and drizzly. Martina showed me around the centre of Como, and we saw a statue of Garibaldi, and Alessandro Volta. Then we took the cable railway up to Brunate. We had decided to go to a restaurant up there near the lighthouse (and it was a really tough walk!! but luckily the motivation of food kept me going). I had gnocchi with tomato and eggplant and delicious pear and mascarpone for dessert.
The view from the lighthouse was wonderful, and we got just a moment where the sun was shining, but unfortunately the pictures didn’t come out very nice. Then the walk back to the cable railway was much easier :B
The rest of the day was spent with a some of Martina’s large family, and then pizza with her friends.
Train ride home went smoothly, except when I was getting out at Montebello I nearly fell flat on my face, buuut. All in all, a really super awesome weekend.
experiment! done without refs… my dad told me to try sitting for a few minutes with my eyes closed and really ~visualizing~ what I want to draw rather than just jump in like I usually do. and this was the result.
bandit sky punk / sky punk bandit? i unno.
This is something I did real quick… I thought it’d be fun to do some sketches of Dawn of the Dead screenshots for practice… This one was super fun, I just did what came naturally, and I like how it turned out! Loose lines and stuff, it makes me happy, even though I kind of squished that actual screenshot when I roughed it out, then I got too far to be bothered to change it.
Anyway, should be more of these coming, not sure when though… I’d like to try something different with each one.
Here’s Rita Hayworth! This actually looks better from further away, haha. I’m not too happy with the face, because I was trying to be too precise with the water-soluble pastel I used, and it turns out better if you just go crazy with it.
Anyway, I really need to find more, because I had around 2cm of it to work with on this hahah.
